Mette Rosenkilde, Professor of University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark. Academic research at Copenhagen University is focused on understanding basic pharmacological properties of 7TM receptors (also known as G protein coupled receptors) within a broad range of therapeutic areas (inflammation, infectious and metabolic diseases).At Copenhagen University, the methods span from state-of-the-art in vitro methods for characterizing structural and functional properties of 7TM receptors to various in vivo experiments with conditional and permanent gene silencing and expression upregulation.Specialties: Vice-chair of the Dep. of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at Copenhagen University (UCO) and of the Faculty Research Committee. Chairman of the Study Board for the Elite masterprogram Humanbiology at UCO and for the Danish Society for Pharmacology. Member of the executive committee of the Danish Medical Research Council. Member of the Research Committee "Nordic Endocrinology" within the NovoNordisk Foundation. Reviewer for numerous journals within pharmacology, endocrinology and virology.
