Dr. Praveen C. Verma holds BSc in Biological Sciences (University of Lucknow, India, 1993), MSc in Botany (University of Lucknow, India, 1995), M.Tech. in Biotechnology (Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India, 1997),PHD in Agriculture Biotechnology (Botany) (Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Lucknow & University of Lucknow, India, 2003) and Post Doctorate in Biotechnology (Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow, 2003-2004). Dr. Verma has authored more than 50 influential global scientific publications namely articles, editorials, books, and book chapters. His research interest includes abiotic and biotic resistance in agriculture crops. In his first stage of research career, he studied advances in plant secondary metabolites. Later he switched his interests in biotechnological approaches for insect resistance in cotton and tomato using novel proteins and SiRNA technology. He speaks in a variety of national and international conferences and meetings serves national and international journals and publishers as editor and evaluator.
