Dr. N. MURUGALATHA KANNAN

Dr. N.Murugalatha hailing from Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India is holding a Doctoral Degree in Microbiology from Periyar University, Salem, and Tamil Nadu and is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities at Quantum Global Campus, Roorkee, India. She is also the program coordinator for undergraduate level Agriculture program from 2015 onwards. Before joining Quantum, she was heading the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India from 2003- 2013. She had joined as a lecturer in Microbiology after completion of her Masters degree in Microbiology during 1999 at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for Women, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu India. She has worked with Probiotics at Molecular level and sequenced the sweetening gene. She has published 20 papers at national and international level. She conjointly worked with her colleagues at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, and had published a book in Microbiology entitled "Microbiological Techniques". She was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi for a research work entitled "Molecular characterization of Plastic degrading bacteria” during 2010. She takes any kind of work as a challenge and puts her full effort and hard work with dedication to bring success.
