Yongheng Deng is a Provost’s Chair Professor and Director of the Institute of Real Estate Studies (IRES) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also the Head of Department of Real Estate. He holds a joint appoitment as a Professor of Real Estate at the School of Design and Environment, and a Professor of Finance at the NUS Business School. Prior to joining NUS, he was a full professor with tenure at the University of Southern California. He has also served as economist and expert in the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) -- a financial regulator overseeing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- in Washington DC, and was a post‐doctoral research fellow at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
