Nicholas Cator

Nick is Executive Director at Verlinvest and is responsible for running the Singapore office and for all Retail & Hospitality & E Commerce investments. Nick sits on the Boards of investee companies in Belgium, India, Singapore, Indonesia and China. He was on the board of Lazada until the sale to Alibaba in Q1 2016. He sits on the board of Chewy.com, the largest online pet food retailer in the US and 111.com, the largest online drug retailer in China. He has been involved closely in GFG for the last 12 months and introduced and negotiated the joint ventures for Zalora with MAP in Indonesia and Ayala in the Philippines. Nick started his career in London and New York in leveraged finance (MetLife Investments) and in private equity (Coller Capital), and in his last role before rejoining Verlinvest was CEO of Armonea, one of the leading private nursing home operators in Belgium, delivering daily care & services to over 9.000 seniors in over 80 nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Nick holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Louvain La Neuve in Belgium and has followed Executive courses at Insead and Stanford.
